#LukaLikes…Makaron Restaurant

Epicurean in the making, Luka van der Merwe is the son of owners, Karine Dequeker and Lloyd van der Merwe.

One of their favourite ways to spend time together as a family is trying new restaurants, and eating out in general. From a young age Luke has accompanied his foodie parents to some of the very best restaurants, around the world.


Here are 14-year-old Luka’s thoughts on our very own Makaron Restaurant.

 Would Luka recommend it to our guests? The answer is an empathic, Yes!

“Recently I was invited to a Majeka House with my parents to taste the new upcoming meals and snacks for the Makaron menu.

I really like the snacks, especially the salt and vinegar crisps, which are homemade in the kitchen. When it comes to the meals: normally I’m not a big fan of fish, but the new fish dish is probably one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had, the flavours are just… mwa.”
